The Center for Supply Chain Excellence at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business trains, supports and informs the community through our programming. We strive to improve profitability for the entire supply chain industry and are dedicated to ensuring Saint Ö±²¥×ÔοÊÓƵ University leads the field to prepare supply chain professionals for future challenges.
About the Center
SLU’s Center for Supply Chain Excellence offers training and education about various supply chain tools and activities — such as supplier relationships, purchasing management, operations and inventory management, logistics and transportation, quality measurement and information technology — through programs, events, publications and interactions with corporate supply chain professionals.
The center has three objectives to support resource professionals in meeting the demands of today's industry.
- Provide management training seminars on the application of best practices within the global supply chain management field to improve the financial performance of organizations
- Actively support academic and curriculum development in the area of global supply chain management for area colleges and universities
- Engage in advanced research on application tools in the field of supply chain management
We pursue these objectives in cooperation with our diverse membership and partnerships, including affiliation with leading companies in the St. Ö±²¥×ÔοÊÓƵ metropolitan region, including APICS and the American Society for Quality, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Institute for Supply Management, Missouri Enterprise, National Contract Management Association and National Defense Transportation Association.
