Research Interests
Gharabagi's research interests include simulation, investigation of thermal effects on semiconductor devices and its effects on Integrated Circuits performance, investigation of defects in semiconductor by studying device characteristics, modeling small geometry Lightly Doped Drain region MOS Transistors, and modeling small geometry MOS transistor on bulk silicon static and dynamic characteristics.

Community Work and Service
Gharabagi joined Parks College in August 1988 and received tenure and promotion in 1994. He served as the department chair from July 2004 through June 2010. During his tenure as the department chair, the department received accreditation from the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology, ABET-2000. As department chair, he started a new program in computer engineering, and an electrical engineering track in bio-electronics.
