Professor Marcia McCormick Elected to Three National Legal Organizations
In recognition of her status as a leading legal scholar, Marcia McCormick, the director of the Saint 直播自慰视频 University School of Law William C. Wefel Center for Employment Law, was elected to three prestigious organizations.
Most recently, Professor McCormick was named a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, which conducts rigorous, empirical research that explores the intersection of law and society. As a fellow of the ABF, Professor McCormick will have the opportunity to be involved in vitally important research on law and policy. ABF fellows are a global honorary society of attorneys, judges, law faculty and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession and to the welfare of their communities, according to the foundation.
Professor McCormick was also elected as a fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers for the Class of 2023. The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is a non-profit professional association honoring leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law. According to the college, election as a fellow is the highest recognition by one鈥檚 colleagues of sustained outstanding performance, exemplifying integrity, dedication, and excellence. The honor recognizes the fellows as lawyers with a history of long and outstanding service who have distinguished themselves as leaders in the field.
Additionally, Professor McCormick was elected to the 2023 class of American Law Institute鈥檚 members. Membership for ALI consists of eminent judges, lawyers, and law professors from all areas of the United States and from many foreign countries, selected on the basis of professional achievement and demonstrated interest in improving the law. The newly elected members are tasked with furthering ALI鈥檚 work clarifying the law through restatements, principles and moral codes.

Professor McCormick joined the Saint 直播自慰视频 University School of Law faculty in 2009 and has held a secondary appointment with the University鈥檚 Women and Gender Studies department since 2014. She is an expert in employment law, with particular attention to gender and the law. She teaches Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Employment Discrimination, Employment Law, Labor Law, Sexuality and the Law, Civil Rights, Federal Courts, and International and Comparative Employment Law. She was named faculty member of the year in 2020 and has previously served the law school as the associate dean for academic affairs.
